THE GAY AND BI FATHERS' FORUM OF NEW YORK CITY is a welcoming, inclusive, mutual support community. Our focus is on successful parenting, while dealing with the issues and challenges of being a gay or bisexual parent. Founded in 1970, we have been incorporated as a not-for-profit organization since April 19, 1984. We meet once each month at the GLBT Center, 208 W. 13th Street, New York City, for two hours at 8 PM on the first Friday of each month. We welcome all biological or adoptive parents, caregivers and their families; In addition we schedule trips for members and their kids, as well as host various social functions each year.
We are compiling a list of referral resources such as therapy, divorce mediation, and legal counsel for the benefit of our community, and are discussing liaisons with other communities. What we are not about is casual hook-ups or sexually-oriented activities, and we discourage them. For more information, please contact us.
